Arcana is a quirky shack situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in Bicheno. Once a humble garage, this property has been thoughtfully transformed into a cozy two-bedroom shack that seamlessly combines comfort, character, and an incredible oceanfront location.

The highlight of Arcana is its remarkable position, with nothing separating you from the ocean except the iconic red lichen rocks. From the moment you arrive, you’ll feel a sense of peace and connection to the natural beauty of the Tasmanian coast.

Arcana features a stunning and unique art collection, including works by Australian Indigenous artists, Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso, and Betsy Gamble. These pieces, displayed throughout the home, add personality and a sense of storytelling to your stay.

The shack offers both front and back decks, allowing you to follow the sun throughout the day. Whether you’re relaxing in one of the two hammocks, enjoying the gentle sea breeze, or cooking up a feast on the Weber BBQ, the outdoor spaces are designed for relaxation and unwinding.

Arcana’s location offers direct access to the coastline via a vegetation lined track that leads you to the iconic red lichen rocks and the oceanfront. From here, you can take a leisurely walk into Bicheno’s township or explore the nearby beaches, making it an ideal base for nature lovers and adventurers alike.

The interiors of Arcana are designed with comfort and practicality in mind. The first bedroom features a king bed with stunning ocean views and direct access to the deck. If needed, this bed can be split into two singles upon request, providing flexibility for your group. The second bedroom is a cozy space with a queen bed and adorned with beautiful artwork. 

The bathroom is combined with the laundry and features a cubicle shower, a vanity integrated into the long laundry bench, and a washer and dryer for your convenience. There is a separate toilet for added privacy. Arcana is also powered by solar energy, with the solar unit located inside the home. While it may hum when charging on sunny days, it’s a small reminder of the property’s eco-conscious design.

The kitchen at Arcana is a standout feature, equipped with high-end appliances to make cooking easy and enjoyable. It includes a powerful Belling induction oven/cooktop, a dishwasher, a Smeg espresso coffee machine, a toaster, a kettle, a microwave, and a full-sized fridge and freezer. 

The open-plan living area is the heart of the home, offering uninterrupted views of the ocean. The lounge area is centered around a cozy wood fireplace, with firewood provided to keep you warm on cooler evenings. While the home has a TV for entertainment, it’s not a smart TV, encouraging guests to unplug and immerse themselves in the natural surroundings. Just look at those waves!

The outdoor spaces at Arcana are designed to help you make the most of your time by the sea. The front and back decks are perfect for enjoying the sun throughout the day, while the hammocks invite you to relax and soak in the coastal atmosphere. Beach towels are provided for your convenience, making it easy to head out and explore the nearby beaches.
