Created with retreat in mind, relax at this unique getaway amongst the River Red Gums near Mia Mia creek on Dja Dja Wurrung Country.

Paint, bird watch or finish your next book in our three cosy custom built huts as you experience the seasons surrounded by nature, clear skies and river red gums. The huts are connected via a large open air deck, surrounded by gardens, native birds and the Milky Way.

Perfect for a weekend, week or month, whatever feels right for you.

Pets are not allowed

- Check-in time: from 1 PM to 10 PM; Check-out time: Before 10 AM. - No pets allowed. No parties or events. - Quiet time: 8 PM - 8 AM. Please be respectful for my neighbourhood and keep the noise low after 8 PM. - Commercial photography allowed, please inform us in advance. - Parking: The guesthouse has its own driveway. Feel free to park inside the property near the huts. - Noise: You may experience some traffic noise as it is near a country road and some trucks do go by. The sleeping hut is double glazed.

Flexible - Full refund given if a guest cancels more than 24 hours before their scheduled arrival date. If 24 hours or less notice is given, the host retains the full booking fee.

Knowing nature as a healing force in my life and finding this beautiful edge of town location, I created Gum Nut Huts as a retreat space for writers, poets and artists and everyone who wants to immerse themselves in nature. Dark skies, a myriad of stars, blue wrens, laughing kookaburras, and ancient gum trees are all here to enjoy! I wanted a space where busyness drifts away and meditation becomes an experience.
