Our shack is a unique space to watch the moon and the sun rise. Enjoy yachts or yellow tailed black cockatoos glide by, from the comfort of the spacious deck or cozy living room. Stroll or swim the sublime expansive beach directly across the road from the shack. Enjoy a coffee or tea on the beach and let the sun warm your day.

When the moon rises there is no better place to be. Set up a picnic on the sand, pour a glass of wine with perhaps a beach fire; our favorite evening ritual. Two master bedrooms each with dreamy comfortable queen beds to make sleep and relaxation a priority during your Moonbird experience. Set up with the traveler in mind our contemporary shack is rich in comfort; a place to inspire and restore.

Moonbird is the perfect base while exploring the East Coast of Tasmania. Nestled between The Bay of Fires and Freycinet, not to mention the stunning Beaumaris surf beach on your door step and the new exciting St Helens & Derby mountain bike trails in easy access.

Cancel 3+ business days before arrival for a full refund (minus the small card fee). If you cancel within 3 days of arrival, the booking is non-refundable. - No shows: We’ll need to charge the full amount. - To secure your stay: A 10% deposit is required at booking, with the balance due 7 days before arrival. - Card fees: $0.22 + 1.43% (standard) / 2.97% (Travel Cards). - Extra guests: Beyond the base rate, it’s $60 pp/night for most stays. - Care for your space: Damages or extra cleaning will be charged to your card on file only if needed. - Forgot something? We can return items – $20 domestic / $40 international shipping. - We’re here to make your getaway memorable, and we’re always happy to answer questions or help plan your visit. * Other rules: - No pets.
