Fees for Hosts

It's completely free to list your property on Heartful. Our commission rate as of November, 2024 is 5.3% plus a 1.7% Stripe transaction fee (so a total rate of 7%), which will be taken off the amount paid out to you when a guest makes a booking.? This is due to increase to 10% effective October 7, 2025, with no further increases planned.??

For example, if a guest’s stay totals $1000.00 exclusive of fees, $930.00 will be paid out to the host (Heartful’s commission is $53.00 and Stripe fees are approx $17.00).

When making a booking, guests can choose to pay either the full booking fee up front or a 50% deposit to secure a booking, with the remaining 50% direct debited 3 days prior to their scheduled arrival date.?

Fees for Guests

In alignment with Heartful's ethos and our values around accessibility (including financial accessibility), our fee structure involves taking a commission from the host of a given property whenever a booking at that property is made. There are no additional fees charged to guests, with the exception of any additional products / services optionally purchased at the time of booking, or an optional donation to one of our charitable partners, such as Homes for Homes Australia.
