    General Information About Host Payouts

    Heartful is deeply committed to ensuring hosts are paid for short stays and experiences booked via the platform as efficiently and securely as possible. For this reason, we partner with third-party payment gateway Stripe to process all booking payouts to hosts.?Heartful offers guests the flexibility of choosing whether to pay for a booked stay or experience:a) up front in full, or b) in 2 x 50% instalments - an initial payment at the time of booking and the second payment 3 calendar days before their scheduled arrival date.If a guest chooses to pay up front in full at the time of booking, the host can expect to receive their payout for the stay within 5-6 business days of payment being made and a guest booking being confirmed.?If, however, a guest chooses to pay a 50% deposit at the time of booking and the balance 3 days before their scheduled arrival, the host can expect to receive their first payout for the stay within?5-6 business days?of the initial payment being made and a guest booking being confirmed and their second payout for the stay within 5-6 business days of the second payment being made.?

    Automatic Versus Manual Payouts in Stripe

    The other factor that determines how quickly and when payouts are processed is whether or not a host has selected to receive their booking payouts automatically or manually via Stripe.Depending on these settings and the payment preferences selected by a particular guest, there are four possible scenarios re: payouts that could then ensue, as outlined below:

    Automatic Payouts

    When a host has selected 'Automatic Payouts' in their Heartful Host Dashboard, the payout schedule will be one of the following, depending on how a guest has opted to pay for a particular booking:a) If the guest chooses to pay?in full, up front,?it takes 3-4 business days for their payment to clear and then 5-6 business days from the date their payment clears to be transferred through to the host's nominated bank account. So 8-10 business days all up between payment being made by the guest and being received by the host

    OR

    b) If the guest chooses to pay?in 2 x 50% instalments, it takes 3-4 business days for their first payment to clear and then 5-6 business days from the date their first payment clears to be transferred through to the host's nominated bank account. The second payment is then automatically debited to the guest's nominated credit / debit card 3 days before they are due to check-in to their accommodation and the same process as the first payment ensues.?

    Manual Payouts?

    When a host has selected 'Manual Payouts' in their Heartful Host Dashboard, the payout schedule will be one of the following, depending on how a guest has opted to pay for a particular booking and the date on which the host manually approves the commencement of the payout process:a) If the guest chooses to pay?in full, up front,?it takes 3-4 business days for their payment to clear and then 5-6 business days from the date the host manually requests the payout to be transferred through to their nominated bank account. So 8-10 business days all up - at a minimum - between payment being made by the guest and being received by the host

    OR

    b) If the guest chooses to pay?in 2 x 50% instalments, it takes 3-4 business days for their first payment to clear and then 5-6 business days from the date the host manually requests the first payout be transferred through to their nominated bank account. The second payment is then automatically debited to the guest's nominated credit / debit card 3 days before they are due to check-in to their accommodation and the same process as the first payment ensues (host has to manually request the second payout be processed and then wait 5-6 business days for this to arrive in their account).
