King Parrot Cottages is a hidden gem tucked away in the lush Otways—just 30 minutes from Lorne and an hour from Geelong, yet it feels a world away. Set on 196 acres of native forest with bushwalking tracks, a spring-fed creek, and even a waterfall, it's a peaceful escape designed for connection—with nature, with loved ones, and with yourself. Guests often say there's something truly magical about the land. Whether it’s dining under the stars, waking to birdsong, or spotting kangaroos grazing at dusk, the experience lingers long after they leave. Thoughtful touches like the saltwater pool and infrared sauna add to the sense of calm, wellness, and renewal. Among the six cottages, Aquila Cottage holds a special charm. Overlooking grassland to a grove of Blackwood trees, it offers serene, soul-soothing views. The split-level timber cottage features a cosy indoor wood fire, two king bedrooms, a bunk bed nook, a fully equipped kitchen, one bathroom plus an additional toilet—making it a perfect retreat for families or small groups. Best of all, it’s dog-friendly, so your four-legged companion can enjoy the adventure too. Whether you’re here to explore the Otways, meet our friendly farm animals, have some fun in the games room, or simply switch off and unwind, Aquila captures the essence of what makes King Parrot so special—peace, play, and presence.

House Rules To ensure all guests enjoy a peaceful and safe stay, please observe the following: • No smoking or vaping indoors • No loud music • Please keep noise to a minimum after 10:00 PM • Strictly no parties or events • No additional guests without prior approval from management • No candles or open flames permitted indoors • Dogs are welcome at King Parrot and inside your cottage – however, they are strictly not allowed on furniture or in beds • Dogs must be kept on a leash around the cottages – for the comfort of other guests and the safety of local wildlife and our farm animals Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We appreciate you helping us maintain the calm, respectful, and nature-connected atmosphere that makes King Parrot so special.

Ultra Strict - Full refund given if a guest cancels more than 30 days before their scheduled arrival date. If 30 days or less notice is given, the host retains 50% of the booking fee. If 14 days or less notice is given, the host retains the full booking fee.
