King Parrot Cottages is a hidden gem in the lush Otways—just 30 minutes from Lorne and an hour from Geelong, yet it feels a world away. Set on 196 acres of native forest with walking tracks, a creek, and a waterfall, it’s a peaceful escape designed for connection—with nature, loved ones, and yourself.
Guests often say there’s something magical about the land. Whether it’s dining under the stars, waking to birdsong, or spotting kangaroos at dusk, the experience lingers long after they leave. Facilities like the saltwater pool and infrared sauna add to the sense of calm and renewal.
Among the six cottages, Blackwood stands out for its charm. Perched in the bush with its own deck, it offers forest views, a split-level timber design, and a wood fire for cosy nights. With a king bed and kitchenette, it’s ideal for couples or solo stays—and it’s dog-friendly, too.

To ensure all guests enjoy a peaceful and safe stay, please observe the following:
No smoking or vaping indoors
No loud music
Please keep noise to a minimum after 10:00 PM
Strictly no parties or events
No additional guests without prior approval from management
No candles or open flames permitted indoors
Dogs are welcome at King Parrot and inside your cottage – however, they are strictly not allowed on furniture or in beds
Dogs must be kept on a leash around the cottages – for the comfort of other guests and the safety of local wildlife and our farm animals

Cancellation
Ultra Strict - Full refund given if a guest cancels more than 30 days before their scheduled arrival date. If 30 days or less notice is given, the host retains 50% of the booking fee. If 14 days or less notice is given, the host retains the full booking fee.
