Ecopia Retreat is a boutique eco luxury accommodation (two self-contained, off-grid rammed earth villas), in a private wildlife sanctuary on Kangaroo Island.

Each of our Kangaroo Island villas is stunningly crafted from rammed earth, and appointed with a luxurious king-size bed, and a freestanding bath.

The Ecopia Villas were created with the environment in mind! From the ground up, with every bit of the design and build an eco-conscious approach was front and centre. The land was not cleared for the building site, and no native vegetation was disturbed. The sites for the Eco Villas were chosen based on how they could be positioned to create a sense of being ‘sunk' into the natural environment, harvest solar energy and maximise views of this vast private property. A solar-passive architectural design was brought to life by constructing rammed-earth walls, installing double-glazed windows and implementing simple eco principles for our bespoke luxury retreats. Each of our eco villas is comfortably equipped with all the modern, eco-friendly, appliances required for a luxurious self-contained stay on Kangaroo Island. Powered by an off-grid solar energy system and utilising Kangaroo Island's 100% pure rainwater, these solar-passive luxury villas are in every essence, a truly unique fusion of luxury and nature.

** Cancellation Policy: - Full payment is required at the time of booking, of which 50% is non-refundable under any circumstances. - Cancellations 30 days or more prior to the check in date will incur a 50% cancellation fee. - Cancellations within 30 days of the check in date will forfeit all monies paid unless we are able to re-book the entire stay to another group at full rate, at which point 50% of the total will be refunded. - All cancellations must be in writing. - No refund can be given in the event of non-arrival, any unused services or unused nights due to flight, ferry and/or weather disruption. We recommend that you protect yourself with travel insurance. ** No smoking inside any retreat. To smoke, please step outside onto the deck. Please dispose of cigarette butts responsibly. ** Strictly no pets allowed. ** Ecopia is a registered wildlife sanctuary and we are committed to maintaining a health environment for our local wildlife. They are thriving in our sanctuary and require no further support. Feeding wildlife is absolutely NOT allowed at Ecopia. ** There are a number of electric vehicle recharge stations around Kangaroo Island. Ultra Strict - Full refund given if a guest cancels more than 30 days before their scheduled arrival date. If 30 days or less notice is given, the host retains 50% of the booking fee. If 14 days or less notice is given, the host retains the full booking fee.

Whether it's the deep soak bath, time spent around the fire pit, or relaxing on the daybed while taking in the mountain views, special memories are made here.
