Tucked away in peaceful Swanwick, just moments from the jetty and a short drive to Coles Bay, this charming retreat invites you to slow down, unwind, and soak in the beauty of nature. It’s the perfect place to breathe deeply and enjoy life’s simple pleasures.

Lovingly renovated, the home offers a warm blend of modern comfort and natural serenity. Whether you're watching the light dance on the river or listening to the birds in the trees, every moment feels special here.

Just steps from the river, you can take a quiet stroll along the shore, cast a line from the jetty, or launch your kayak into the calm waters of the Swan. It’s the kind of place where time slows down and nature takes the lead.

Inside, the home is cosy and welcoming, with a beautiful view framed by large windows. It's an ideal space to enjoy a glass of wine, a family dinner, or a quiet morning coffee while the sun rises over the water.

The house is great for couples, small families, or friends wanting a peaceful escape. With Sandpiper Beach just a minute away, and Freycinet National Park close by, adventure and relaxation go hand in hand.

Guests have full access to the front part of the house, including a protected deck perfect for BBQs. The back section and garage are private and used to store the owners' belongings. You’ll have the entire guest space to yourself during your stay.

Joey’s Place has been part of our family since 1989. It’s where our children grew up, where memories were made, and where we still gather today. In 2024, we refreshed the space with family in mind - and now we’re thrilled to share it with you.

* House Access & Layout - Guests have full access to the front section of the house, which faces the Swan River. - The back of the building, including the garage, is not accessible as it contains the owners' belongings. - The house accommodates a maximum of 5 guests only. * Check out: Upon departure: - Place the key back in the lockbox. - Leave wet towels on the bathroom floor. - Leave the sheets on the beds. - Ensure all lights, appliances, heaters, cooktop, oven, fans, and air conditioning are turned off. - Do not leave dirty dishes, please clean them before departure. * Cleanliness & Breakages - This is a non-smoking house. Smoking is not allowed inside or outside. Please dispose of cigarette butts properly. - Pets are not allowed. Evidence of pets may result in a cleaning fee. - Please avoid dragging suitcases across floors or scuffing walls. - Accidental breakages (e.g., glasses) are understandable, just let the host know. - Major damages may be assessed on a case-by-case basis and could incur charges. * Guest Amenities & Supplies - The house is self-contained with some kitchen staples and amenities provided on arrival. - These supplies are not replenished during your stay. * Local stores for restocking include: - Coles Bay IGA (groceries and wine) - Iluka Tavern (bottle shop) - Iluka Convenience Store (petrol, ice, general products) * Waste Disposal - General waste goes in the red-lidded bin. - Recyclables (glass, plastic, cardboard) go in the yellow-lidded bin. - Red bins are collected every Tuesday morning. - Yellow bins (recycling) are collected every second Tuesday morning. - When placing bins on the roadside, keep them about 30 cm apart. * Water Usage - The house relies solely on rainwater. - Water is safe to drink, but you may choose to boil it. - Please conserve water by: Taking shorter showers, turning off taps while brushing teeth, avoiding vehicle washing. * Toilets & Septic System - The house uses a septic system. Only toilet paper should be flushed. - Sanitary bags are provided for anything else. * Wi-Fi & TV - The house has NBN internet and a smart TV. Guests can log into streaming services using their own accounts. - Internet may be slow or intermittent at times due to weather, usage levels, or data limits. * Parking: Parking is located to the left-hand side of the building near the entrance. There is space for two or three small cars. * Appliances - The house has an electric cooktop. Instructions are in the kitchen pantry. - Other appliance manuals are also located in the pantry. * Wildlife & Nature - The property is eco-friendly and home to local wildlife. Common animals include fairy wrens, wallabies, and echidnas. - A blue tongue lizard may be seen on the driveway, please avoid harming it. - Rabbits, while cute, are feral and damaging to the bush. Feel free to scare them away. * Other Notes - If anything is broken, empty, or needs reporting, please leave a note on the kitchen bench. - Feedback is always appreciated to help improve the experience for future guests. Moderate - Full refund given if a guest cancels more than 5 days before their scheduled arrival date. If 5 days or less notice is given, the host retains 50% of the full booking fee. If 24 hours or less notice is given, the host retains the full booking fee.

This beautiful island quickly became home, and we’ve loved every moment of our adventure here.
