Scribbly Gum cottage is beautiful and rustic, a renovated original settlers cottage relocated to Kangaroo Valley in the 1990's and lovingly restored. There are rural views from every cottage window. Our place is perfect for couples who love a rustic country feel, with a cute little fire pit out the back.

There is nothing better than watching the sunset from our lovely cottage. Kangaroo Valley is known for how bright the stars shine at night. Enjoy the complimentary wine and marshmallows over the fire and watch the day turn into night.

Our beautiful, rustic cottage also comes with air-conditioning and heating, to help with the cool Winter nights and the heat of Summer - it's perfect all year around! The cottage comes with basic kitchen amenities, as well as some of our lovely fresh, free-range eggs.

The property is surrounded by amazing views of the Kangaroo Valley escarpment, this is particularly picturesque in the evenings. There is a rural view from each cottage window over our farm and the neighbouring property.

You have your own space around the cottage and a paved area outside with a fire pit. There is off-street parking right next to the cottage.

Inside the cottage, there are basic amenities including a bathroom and kitchenette as well as a bedroom and lounge/dining and kitchen area.

The kitchen includes basic cooking facilities, there is a single hot plate, microwave, fridge, and sink. There is also a bbq outside!

There is air conditioning and heating, and the cottage is fully insulated and electric blanket for winter.

* HOUSE RULES - Check-in: After 3:00 pm - Check-out: By 10:00 am - Not suitable for children or infants - No smoking - No parties or events - Pets allowed (see below for conditions) *ADDITIONAL RULES - Max 2 overnight guests. Day visitors allowed with prior approval. - Only registered guests may be on the property. Written permission is required for visitors. - No smoking inside. Evidence of smoking may incur a $500 fine. - Quiet hours after 9:00 pm. Please respect our neighbours. - Parties/events are strictly prohibited. - A Short Term Rental Agreement must be signed upon booking. - A pre-authorised security hold will be taken in place of a deposit. - Pets must be approved before booking. A $60 pet fee applies. Pets are not allowed on furniture. - Check-in/Check-out: Early check-in or late check-out may be available for an extra charge, please request in advance. * Booking Changes: - Date changes only accepted if check-in is more than 30 days away. - Subject to approval and a possible surcharge. * FARM STAY INFO - Check-in details sent the night before or morning of arrival for security. - We are a working farm with 8000 free-range chickens, a dog (Indi), and two goats, feel free to say hello! - You may see friendly staff or light farm activity (e.g., mulch pile access). - Please follow Australian biosecurity rules, especially for international guests. * OTHER NOTES - Only one set of keys provided. - This is a rustic, refurbished country cottage, perfect for disconnecting and enjoying nature. * CANCELLATION POLICIES: - No refund if booked within 30 days of check-in. - Full refund if canceled within 7 days of booking (unless within 30 days of check-in). - 50% refund (plus cleaning fee) if canceled after 7 days from booking (not applicable if within 30 days of check-in). - No refund if canceled within 48 hours of check-in.

Ultra Strict - Full refund given if a guest cancels more than 30 days before their scheduled arrival date. If 30 days or less notice is given, the host retains 50% of the booking fee. If 14 days or less notice is given, the host retains the full booking fee.
